E. G. Marshall
E. G. Marshall (Everett Eugene Grunz; June 18, 1914 – August 24, 1998) was an American actor. He was best known for his roles as Lawrence Preston on The Defenders and as David Craig on The Bold Ones: The New Doctors. He won two Emmy Awards in 1962 and in 1963. He was also known for his roles in 12 Angry Men and Creepshow.
Marshall was born on June 18, 1914 in Owatonna, Minnesota to a Norwegian-German family.[1] He studied at Carleton College and at the University of Minnesota.
Marshall was married to Helen Wolf from 1939 until they divorced in 1953. Then he was married to Emy de Haze Winkelman until they divorced. Then he was married to Judith Coy until his death in 1998. He had five children. Marshall died on August 24, 1998 in Bedford, New York from lung cancer, aged 84.
