Flag of Iran
The current flag of Iran started to be used on 29 July 1980 after the Islamic Revolution. The design of the flag is three horizontal bands of green above white above red, symbolising Islam, peace, and valour respectively.[1]
Another flag of Iran that is popular is the Lion and Sun flag, which features a gold-coloured lion with a sun and sword in the centre of the flag. It used to be Iran's flag before 1979, but is still used by many Iranians who don't like the current government of Iran.[2]
