SummerSlam (2009)
SummerSlam (2009) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), which took place on August 23, 2009 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.[2] It was the 22nd annual SummerSlam event and featured wrestlers from the Raw, SmackDown, and ECW brands.[3] Eight matches were contested on the event's card.[4]

Cryme Tyme unsuccessfully challenged Chris Jericho and The Big Show for the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship.
Triple H and Shawn Michaels reunited at the event as D-Generation X to challenge The Legacy.
The Undertaker returned to WWE at SummerSlam and received a World Heavyweight Championship match at WWE Breaking Point against the champion CM Punk.
