The main event was the Royal Rumble match for a WWF Championship match at WrestleMania 2000, which The Rock won by last eliminating Big Show. Big Show was about to throw The Rock out, but then Rock reversed the move and threw the Big Show out to win. Big Show afterwards tired to prove that The Rock hit the ground first, however it could not be arranged again because WrestleMania 2000 was too close, so the Rock remained as the winner. After that, Big Show hit The Rock because of frustration.
