A Brown Bear (Ursus arctos) is a large bear of the Ursidae family. Brown bears live mostly across northern North America and Eurasia.

Brown bears can weigh 130–700 kg (300–1500 pounds). It is the national animal of Finland.


There are several Brown Bear subspecies.
