John Hughes (filmmaker)
John Wilden Hughes, Jr. (February 18, 1950 – August 6, 2009) was an American filmmaker. He was born in Lansing, Michigan. He grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan and Northbrook, a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. He died of a heart attack in Manhattan, New York City.
