Sub-Saharan Africa
Sub-Saharan Africa, also known as Black Africa, is the part of Africa that is south of the Sahara. It includes of all the countries of Africa that are fully located south of the Sahara desert, except Sudan, which is partly located south of the desert.[1] It includes West Africa, Central Africa, East Africa and Southern Africa, but excludes North Africa, since North Africa is considered a part of the Arab world. Somalia, Djibouti, Comoros and Mauritania are geographically part of Sub-Saharan Africa, but also part of the Arab world.[2]
