History

ATP started in September 1972 by Donald Dell, Jack Kramer, and Cliff Drysdale. Its job is to care for the interests of men's professional tennis. Starting in 1990, the ATP has organized the most important group of tennis competitions for men. In 2009, the organization changed the name of the competitions from "ATP Tour" to "ATP World Tour." ATP is based in London.
