2018 FIFA World Cup qualification (CONMEBOL)

The 2018 CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup qualification (CONMEBOL) tournament was held from 8 October 2015 to 10 October 2017 and was used to determine which South American teams will qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Ten teams participated in the tournament. Edinson Cavani (Uruguay) was the top scorer with 10 goals.

Peru moved on to the inter-confederation play-offs, which is a tournament between 4th and 5th placed teams from other international world cup qualification tournaments.
