Baton Rouge metropolitan area
The Baton Rouge metropolitan statistical area (also called Baton Rouge metropolitan area or Greater Baton Rouge) is a large area metropolitan statistical area around the city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States. Baton Rouge is the main city in the area. It is unusual becausethere are no other big cities nearby that are part of the metro area.

Comprising the western edge of the Florida Parishes regions, it is known as "Plantation Country", the "Capital Region", and "The 225" (a reference to its area code). At the 2020 U.S. census, the metropolitan area had a population of 870,569. At the 2023 estimate, the population was 882,652.[1]
