Sverdlovsk Oblast (Russian: Свердловская область, Sverdlovskaya oblast) is a federal subject (an oblast) of Russia. Its administrative center is the city of Yekaterinburg, formerly known as Sverdlovsk. In 2010, 4,297,747 people lived in the oblast.[1]
