The International Olympic Committee's official abbreviation for Egypt is EGY.[1]

History

Egypt has sent athletes to most of the Summer Olympic Games since then. Egypt did was not at the 1976 Summer Olympics because of the African boycott. Egypt was at the Winter Olympic Games with a single alpine skier in 1984.

Egyptian athletes have won a total of 24 medals.

The National Olympic Committee for Egypt was formed in 1910.[2]
